Lewis

Hi, I'm Lewis, and I'm a final year student reading History BA at Christ Church Oxford. At A-Level, I studied History, Mathematics, and Physics.

I have been very fortunate to engage in a wealth of tutoring over the last few years. During this time, I have tutored many GCSE and A-Level historians, but also have experience working with primary school students. I also work with final-year school students working towards Oxbridge admissions and I am proud to say all my students received offers from their first-choice colleges in the last cycle.

When it comes to my philosophy of teaching history, I believe that its subjective nature requires a personal level of teaching to form the enthusiasm and intellectual bond which fosters improvement. The classroom setting far too often fails to deliver the nuance or satisfaction synonymous with the successful study of history, especially at an A-Level standard. This situation is quickly remedied by a personalised education experience, which I strive to provide whether as support alongside school, or as more comprehensive teaching.
