James - French and Spanish, University of oxford

Hi I’m James and I am currently living in Barcelona working in climate tech. I studied French and Spanish at New College Oxford, with a year abroad at Sciences Po, Paris. I have a Master’s in Sustainability Management from Pompeu Fabra Universtiy, Barcelona. At A-Level I studied French, Spanish and English as well as taking an EPQ (and achieved an A* in each).

I have been tutoring for 7 years, working primarily with clients in the UK and Australia. I have extensive experience tutoring in French, Spanish and English from age 10 up to University level. I have helped numerous students reach their full potential, whether that is a higher grade at GCSE or winning a place to study at Oxford.

I am a firm believer in making tutoring an enjoyable experience. My goal is to find a part of a subject that a student finds interesting, and to use that as a basis as well as motivation for the less exciting parts of French, Spanish and English! For every ‘boring’ part of a subject, I can guarantee I’ll find a fun one for your child!

Away from tutoring, I am an avid rower. I spent two years rowing for Oxford University Boat Club and am a 2x Junior European Champion.
