ulla

Hi, my name is Ulla and I'm currently studying English and French at the University of Oxford.

At A-Level I studied English Literature (A*), French (A*), Maths (A*) and Chemistry (A*). I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (A*). My second language is German which I speak at home with my father.

I started tutoring GCSE students in a range of subjects when I was doing my A-Levels and since then, have progressed on to tutor English and French at A-Level, as a well as to help language students trying for a place at Oxbridge with their application (I have a 100% success rate so far!).

I recently completed a teacher training qualification (CerTESOL associated with Trinity College London) which has enriched my repertoire of teaching methods. That being said, I am very much of the belief that tutoring is very different to teaching! No two students are alike and no two students have the learning style. As such, I prioritise a tailored and well-considered approach to tutoring and really work to foster relationships of mutual input with my tutees. I like to know how they think I can best help them!

A little more about me personally: I am the rowing captain at my college and both row and cox, I will be studying in Paris next year and I am a keen, if amateur, chef!
