Natasha

Hi there, my name is Natasha and I graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Philosophy and Psychology back in 2021. For me, this combination of subjects was perfect and provided me with many insights. Before starting my studies at University, I carried out A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Psychology. These subjects provided me with the foundations to go onto further study. I carried out my Psychology A level in one year instead of two, because I decided to pick up the subject as an extra due to my curiosity. I was pleasantly surprised and switched from my aspirations of going to medical school to studying Psychology instead.

I have tutored a wide range of students online, offering Oxbridge interview and application guidance, along with Psychology and Philosophy specific lessons. I love working with people regardless of their age, for example I have helped in a nursery with children from 6-months to 4 years, volunteered at a summer school for children aged 8-9, and given support to teenagers on their personal statement and GCSE’s. For me, learning is something we should enjoy, I want to inspire students to think outside the box about life by making lessons fun, interactive and creative! It is essential for me that my students walk away from our lessons, excited and curious to learn more. The skill sets I tend to work on with students involve analysis, problem solving, creative thinking, inspiring a flexible mindset and memory engagement. All useful skills, in particular for your higher education, where you will be engaging deeply with thought provoking content and in general for your interpretation and perception of both yourself and others, as well as the world around us.

Topics I am particularly interested in include clinical psychology, neuroscience, perception, social psychology, research methods, cognitive psychology, the philosophy-psychology connection, practical ethics, existentialism, early modern philosophy, artificial intelligence, quantum physics and metaphysics. In addition to my academics, I love travelling the world (learning about different cultures, social dynamics, and landscapes), street photography, singing and writing songs, poetry, spiritual practices, nature, rollerblading, swimming and hiking.
