Hello! My name is Miranda and I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2024 with a First Class in English. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cambridge and was delighted to rank in the top ten of my highly talented cohort while also pursuing my interests in student journalism and theatre. At A Level I studied English Literature (A*), History (A*) and Psychology (A*) as well as completing an EPQ (A*).   

I have experience tutoring English Language and Literature from GCSE and below through to A Level. I believe there is no ‘textbook’ way to study English and it is important to work with each student to find a learning and revision strategy that clicks. In many cases it is true that practice makes perfect, so I provide consistent, detailed feedback on practice essays and worked through examples. 

I also offer support with university applications and interview preparation. I know how first-hand daunting these can be, so I work with students to demystify the process and build confidence in their own strengths and abilities. 

I’m currently completing an MA in Magazine Journalism at City, University of London and hope to pursue a career in journalism in the future.
