Matt, Mathematics - University of Oxford

Hello! I’m Matt, and I recently graduated from the University of Oxford after four years of studying Mathematics, achieving a First Class Masters Degree. I relished my time at Oxford, earning multiple academic prizes and scholarships for consistently ranking top in my college exams, outstanding final examination performances and achieving the highest cohort mark in 'Statistical Machine Learning'.

Before university, I attended St Marylebone Sixth Form, achieving 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Economics, and Physics at A-level. I was honoured with the Margaret Mountford Prize for obtaining the highest exam results in the school's history, and was the first student there to take A-level Maths a year early.

Since doing voluntary, weekly maths-tutoring sessions with lower-school students at my Sixth form, I have accumulated extensive tutoring experience alongside my studies. I continue to provide tailored lessons in Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-level, as well as guiding students through Oxbridge admissions, including MAT preparation and mock interviews.

My tutoring style is highly personalised, emphasising deep conceptual understanding and targeted practice, which has consistently resulted in improved grades and successful university offers for my students. Beyond tutoring, my passion for sports has also driven me to take leadership roles in rugby and ultramarathon training at Oxford, experiences that have further refined my ability to motivate and support students toward ambitious goals.
