Marie, Jurispudence (Law) - University of Oxford

Hi there! I'm Marie, and I'm currently doing my BCL (Law Masters) at St Peter's College, Oxford, after finishing my undergraduate Jurisprudence degree at Keble College. Before Oxford, I got 7 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and a Distinction at GCSE, then  As in Philosophy, History and Government & Politics at A-Level, plus an A* in my EPQ.

Alongside my degree, I've spent the last couple of years helping students through some of the most competitive university admissions processes in the UK, mainly for law. Having competed in mooting and represented Oxford at the Jessup International Law Moot, I am skilled at guiding students on how to structure an argument, how to provide detailed and logical thinking to interview questions, and, more generally, how to produce successful arguments!

I tutor Maths and English up to GCSE, History and Religious Studies at GCSE, and Politics and Philosophy at A-Level. My main focus, though, is law admissions: personal statements, LNAT preparation, and Oxbridge interview practice. I try to help students not just learn the content, but actually think clearly and argue confidently under pressure, since that's what tends to make the real difference in interviews. In my two years of tutoring experience, all of my students have gotten into their first or second choice, including universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, KCL and Warwick. They have all performed amazingly in the LNAT, scoring 30+. I look forward to guiding each one of my students to success!
