Lucy, Modern and Medieval Languages - University of Cambridge
Hi, I’m Lucy! I am going into my final year at the University of Cambridge, where I am studying Modern and Medieval Languages. I spent my year abroad in France, where I spent the year doing the British Council language assistantship placement in Bordeaux, teaching in a primary school. I received a scholarship from Clare College for first class results in my first-year exams.
Before coming to Cambridge, I achieved all 8s and 9s at GCSE level. For my A-levels, I studied French, English literature and history, achieving results of A*A*A. I scored 116/120 possible marks on my French oral exam, and full marks in my English literature coursework.
I have been tutoring for two years, and I have experience tutoring students with a range of abilities and backgrounds. I take an encouraging and structured approach to language-learning, and I believe that building a student’s confidence is central to their success. I like to be very proactive when tutoring, helping students to create a revision or learning strategy outside of our sessions too.
