Our tutors - Lucy

Lucy - Musicology, University of oxford

Lucy has a first class BA in Musicology from St Hugh’s College, University of Oxford, having focused particularly on ethnomusicology and musico-political, anthropological studies. She has since completed an MSc in Gender Studies at LSE.

Prior to Oxford, Lucy was classically trained at Chetham’s School of Music where she majored in piano. Alongside her practical music studies, she achieved 9 GCSEs all A*-A and 3 As at A-level in music, German and English literature.

Lucy has over 5 years experience teaching and has worked with both children and adults in a variety of subjects. She is well-suited to teaching academic music, music theory and instrumental lessons up to and beyond A-level given her extensive background in music.

She also has extensive experience tutoring students through the 11+ exams across Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, and creative writing. She successfully tutored students through admissions for schools such as Latymer, Radley, City of London, and Harrow. She also enjoys teaching GCSE English Literature and Language.

Outside of her studies Lucy enjoys travel and reading.
