Katy, Biomedical Sciences - University of Oxford

Hello, Im Katy and I’m a highly experienced tutor specialising in Science and Mathematics.

I began tutoring privately in 2021 and have since delivered over 450 hours of one-to-one teaching. My focus is always on fostering significant academic improvement, and I’m proud that my students consistently make remarkable progress as a result.

In addition to subject-specific support, I have a strong track record in preparing students for competitive entrance to top UK independent schools. From 7+ to Sixth Form entry, my coaching for admissions tests and interviews has helped many students secure offers from their first-choice schools. I also offer specialised guidance for those applying to the University of Oxford, supporting students through each stage of the application process with clarity and confidence.

My approach is both personable and results-driven. I tailor each session to suit the individual needs of the student, ensuring not only academic success but also a deeper understanding and enjoyment of the subject.

I achieved three A*s at A Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and I’m just completing my degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Oxford. Alongside my academic work, I’ve enjoyed playing for the university netball team and spending time outdoors- hiking is one of my favourite ways to recharge.

Clients consistently value my dedication to their children’s academic journey and the positive impact my teaching has on both results and confidence.
