George - History and Politics, University of Oxford

Hello! I'm George, and I recently left Oxford, where I studied for two degrees: an undergraduate in History and Politics and a Master's in History.

I greatly enjoyed the degrees' breadth, ranging from medieval history to comparative political science. Eventually, I chose to concentrate on eighteenth-century political thought, on which I wrote both my dissertations. Before coming to university, I took the IB Diploma in Economics, Maths, History, English, Physics and Spanish.

I now tutor students in History, Politics, English, French and Spanish. My teaching style is structured but I encourage students to think about the content in open-ended terms and explore their interests beyond the curriculum. This stems from a firm belief that results follow from real enjoyment of the material, an approach which has worked well for my tutees so far.
