George

Hi! I’m George and I’ve just finished studying my master’s degree in Chemistry at Lincoln College, where I was awarded a first class degree. I studied Chemistry (A*), Physics (A*), Maths (A*) and Further Maths (A*) at A-level, and have a passion for sharing my knowledge of maths and science!

While at university I was a chemistry mentor, and also privately tutored children of family and friends across all years of secondary school. While at school I acted as an academic mentor across the sciences, and gained extensive experience coaching hockey and tennis.

I believe in teaching the strategies behind memory and learning, as well as the ability to solve problems and think for oneself. I think it’s important to have a good rapport with the my tutees, and always try to make lessons fun and engaging!

In addition to my studies, I played hockey for the university, and volunteer with Lincoln College Vacation Project, a charity providing holidays for children known to social services in the Oxfordshire area.
