Freya

Hi! I’m Freya and I recently graduated from The University of Oxford with a first class in BA Psychology and Philosophy. I really enjoyed studying these subjects and I was excited to win four academic prizes, including top of my year in both second and third year. At A level, I studied Psychology (A*), Philosophy and Ethics of Religion (A*), English Literature (A*) and completed a photography-based EPQ (A*). I love having the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for these subjects with my students.

Personalising my teaching to each individual is really important to me and I enjoy applying relevant research from my Psychology degree to the classroom. I think this combination of evidence base and personal touch is the key to unlocking each student's potential. I have experience teaching from age five right up to adults, and regardless of age, I find nothing more rewarding than seeing a student crack something they had been struggling with.

When I’m not working in my role as Policy Coordinator at The University of Manchester Students’ Union, I spend my time reading, doing yoga and hiking in the Peak District. Next September I’ll be exploring my passion for social science further through a Msc in Policy Research.
