Felix

Hi, I’m Felix!

I’m in my final year studying Spanish and Portuguese at Hertford college. A passionate linguist, I studied Latin (A*), Spanish (D1) and Portuguese (A*) at A level. I’m a strong believer that languages have the ability to amplify people’s experiences and offer new perspectives. Having travelled extensively and lived in Mexico, Brazil and Kenya, I make real efforts to open my students’ eyes and appreciation of diverse societies, cultures and ways of life.

In addition to modern languages, I have a long-standing interest in the Classics, making my tutoring sessions both diverse and rooted in classical structure and grammatical formality.

I believe in using a wide range of teaching methods to engage my students, striving to bring my fun, creative attitude to my tutorials. Whether it is incorporating music and film or politics and current affairs, I find entertaining ways to improve language skills and further cultural understanding in my lessons.

Beyond academics, I lead an active life as a keen sportsman representing my university in rugby and captaining the Hertford football team, as well as being an avid jazz saxophonist.

My mission as a tutor is to create a lively and supportive learning environment, tailored to each student's needs. Whether you're seeking language proficiency, a love for literature, or assistance in any other subject, I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their goals and unlocking their full potential.
