Eloise, Maths and Statistics - University of Oxford

Hi, I'm Eloise and I have recently completed an integrated Masters in Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Oxford. I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science at A-Level, achieving 4 A*s.

Throughout my degree I was an ambassador for the Maths Department at Oxford, as well as tutoring students at KS3, GCSE and A-Level for a charity focused on making mathematics more enjoyable and accessible for children. This has allowed me to work with students with a wide variety of skill levels and to develop a collaborative teaching style that focuses on helping each student to reach their full potential. My tutoring sessions are a discussion where we work through concepts and problems together.

I believe that building a student's confidence in their mathematical ability is one of the most crucial ingredients for success. Hence my goal is always to focus on the areas my students are most concerned about, and work with them to ensure that they understand every aspect of the material, in order to be able to tackle problems independently and with confidence, whether for their GCSE, A-Level, or University Admissions test.

I am very passionate about my subject and I hope to pass some of that on to my students. But whether I'm working with students that love maths, or with someone who sees it as just a stepping stone to other goals, I bring the same enthusiasm and dedication to helping my students excel!
