ED

Hi, I’m Ed. I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford where I studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE), alongside founding Renewed Learning.

At A-Level I studied Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*), Additional Further Maths (A*), Physics (A*), and History (A). I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (A*).

Tutoring, I believe, is much more than just passing on information and practicing questions. It is instead about forming a connection, listening to the student, and creating a bespoke plan to help them succeed. Success isn’t just about what you know, but also about your confidence to apply that knowledge. Personally, I believe that tutoring should give each student that confidence that is necessary to succeed in exams, interviews, and throughout their future studies. I have over 2500 hours experience in tutoring and at a wide range of levels, from teaching A-Level Maths to Key Stage 1. Here are a few of my testimonials:

If it were not for Ed’s patience and resilience at catering for my individual mathematical challenges at A level I very much doubt that I would have succeeded in getting into a top international university. I would highly recommend him for his diligence, positivity and as not just being a great tutor but now a good friend! - Will (Maths A-Level)

Ed has been remarkable in bringing confidence and a love of learning to my children. They absolutely love seeing him and have a fresh sense of excitement for experiments and maths! He is truly gifted and simply wonderful.  - Nessie (Mother of 6 year old and 3 year old)

Thanks to Ed my confidence has improved greatly and I have really benefited from his patience and clear explanations. Before starting tutoring I was struggling to get a C grade and now I am on an A. He makes maths a lot more interesting and enjoyable! - Eleanor (Maths A-Level)

Ed’s determination for helping me to understand maths at A-Level has been very useful. Not only are his lessons enjoyable and relaxing, each lesson we cover so much of the course that I now feel so much more confident in my maths. - Fred (Maths A-Level)
