Daisy

Hi! I’m Daisy and I’m in my third year studying French and Spanish at Keble College, Oxford, currently on a year-abroad and living in Paris! I was awarded a scholarship for attaining a first/distinction in my preliminary examinations. At A-Level, I studied French, Spanish and Politics, obtaining an A* in all three, as well as in an EPQ.

Thus far I have tutored children in primary education as well as GCSE and IB/A-Level students in French, over the past four years.

I think building confidence is the most important aspect of tutoring languages, as well as establishing a really strong understanding of grammatical rules, whatever level the student is. Learning languages can be so much fun, as well as useful everyday, in school, and beyond. My lesson plans aim for engaging and dynamic activities for students below GCSE age. As for those studying specifically for assessments, I would cater to each specification in order to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the syllabus. Having helped a student improve by three grades (5 to an 8 at GCSE), I find tutoring extremely rewarding and am looking forward to sharing my love of French and Spanish.

Outside of my degree, I love painting, travelling whenever I can, and trying new food!
