Our Tutors - Cassiah Harverson

Cassiah - Medicine, University of Manchester

Hi! My name is Cassiah and I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Manchester, which I am enjoying very much. Prior to this I studied a wide range of subjects at A-level and achieved top grades in Biology, Economics, Geography and PE. 

I have a background of teaching students at both GCSE and A-levels, and my areas of particular expertise are PE / Sports Science and Biology. I have tutored students with a range of different abilities over the years and have seen them grow in confidence and enthusiasm towards their subjects, whilst showing significant improvement in results. My approach to teaching is to simplify content and make it easy to understand; I like to use clear explanations and diagrams and allow room for questions so that students can learn at their own pace and build confidence along the way. With tutoring, it is important to me that each session is fun, engaging and tailored to what the individual needs. I also prioritise developing confidence with exam technique so students can apply the content they have learned in different ways, enabling them to perform to the best of their ability and achieve the results they want. 

I enjoy tutoring a lot and seeing how students improve and go on to succeed in their futures is incredibly rewarding. My aim is to help every student I teach feel confident and prepared for their exams, and proud of the work they have done to get there.  

Outside of studying and tuition, I love staying active, exploring new places and meeting up with friends.
