Ari Katz, Land Economy - University of Cambridge

Hi! I’m Ari, a third-year Land Economy undergraduate at Selwyn College, Cambridge. I grew up in Australia, where I achieved an ATAR of 99.35 and received the UNSW Prize for Economics. Since arriving in Cambridge, I’ve thrown myself into college life, balancing academics with sports, societies and everything else that makes this place so special.

Within Land Economy, I have consistently performed at a high level, including ranking third in my first year, and I have taken part in several undergraduate research opportunities at the department. Studying Land Economy has also been incredibly enriching. Its mix of economics, law, environment and real estate provides a broad and rigorous way of thinking about the world, and helping students prepare for this course is something I genuinely enjoy.

Over the past two years, I have delivered more than 50 mock interviews for Land Economy applicants, with several students successfully securing offers. I know the interview can feel overwhelming because of its breadth. My approach focuses on building clarity, confidence and structured thinking, while also preparing you for the types of questions that often catch applicants by surprise.

I care deeply about helping students unlock their potential, and I look forward to supporting you on your path to Cambridge.
