Hi, I’m Alix. I recently graduated from Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge where I studied Natural Sciences, specialising in Chemistry. I achieved First Class Honours for both my BA and Master’s degrees, and was also awarded a Trinity Hall Academic Scholarship. Prior to university, I attended Wycombe Abbey School where I studied Chemistry (A*), Maths (A*), and Physics (A*) at A-Level. I am currently studying towards my Postgraduate Diploma in Law in London.

I have always had a keen interest in maths and science, particularly chemistry, due to the passionate teachers and tutors I’ve interacted with throughout my academic career. I would love to encourage other students to be curious about science by supporting their learning and furthering their understanding. My philosophy for tutoring is to be approachable and engaging, and to develop a personalised tutoring programme that works for the student’s individual needs and aims. As well as enhancing their grasp of the subject and problem-solving abilities, I believe that building a student’s confidence is key in allowing them to achieve their absolute best. Being confident enables students to ask questions, tackle new challenges, and fully engage with a subject, all of which work together to help a student excel.

At Trinity Hall, I delivered presentations to underprivileged students aiming to apply to the University of Cambridge. I would be happy to provide advice and support to students applying to any university.
