Our Tutors - Alice Kerridge

Alice - Politics, Philosophy & Economics, University of Oxford

I graduated from Oxford last summer with a degree in PPE, specialising in Philosophy and Politics. During my studies, I was awarded an academic scholarship for outstanding performance in my preliminary examinations. My main academic interests are political philosophy and the philosophy of mind.

I have over three years of tutoring experience, teaching A-level Politics, A-level Philosophy, and the Oxbridge admissions process. I have supported students through every stage of Oxford applications, including personal statements, super-curricular development, entrance examinations (TARA TSA), and interview preparation.

My particular strength is in Oxbridge interview coaching. I structure interview sessions in the style of an Oxford tutorial, helping students develop the analytical and intellectual confidence that tutors are looking for. I aim to show students how to approach challenging questions in a thoughtful and engaging way, interviews are an opportunity to explore ideas, not something to fear.

I take a flexible, tailored approach to teaching: for students who benefit from structure, I can set challenging, deadline-driven work; for more independent learners, I provide guidance and recommendations for self-directed study.

Lessons can be adapted to suit each student’s priorities, whether that’s strengthening subject knowledge, improving essay technique, or a combination of both. For those unsure where to focus, I’m happy to take the lead in identifying gaps and structuring lessons accordingly.

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing volleyball, sailing, and reading novels.
