Elizabeth Willey introduces Education as a discipline within itself. Whilst everyone has an experience- or lack thereof- of formal and informal education, we do not often stop and consider, especially while we are in education systems, the importance, past, present and future of Education.
Having studied Education, English, Drama and the Arts as an undergraduate, Elizabeth begins by outlining the critical debates within the study of Education, before moving onto some of the key psychological aspects of how we learn as we grow up, and then explores the sociological influences that affect our learning. Finally, we discuss what we would like the future of Education to look like.
